This is in fact a GREAT question. As you know this an alcoholic event so we will not be shuttling anyone back to their cars. Our recommendation for the day is to have a friend or family member pick you up at the Finish and drop you off at the start OR bus, taxi, walk, bike, crawl to your closest and safest destination. You could even have a combination of all of them! Carpool! Thanks so much for understanding.
Please Note: This is NOT a race for Children and strollers. They will not be allowed in the race. This fun run is for strictly adults 19+ only. Thank you.

The Harewood Neighbourhood Association is a community driven non-profit society. We strive to enhance the quality of life and the environment of Harewood. Our goal is to work together with businesses, agencies, government, schools organizations to help in the delivery of community services and projects in Harewood.
Among our accomplishments are: development of the Nanaimo Aquatic Centre; Harewood Summer Park program, a free drop in recreational program; the very popular Harewood Miner's Community Spray Water Park, as well as the Official Harewood Neighbourhood Plan. About 15 years ago, HNA began dreaming of a Harewood Youth Skate-BMX park.
In 2011, the Harewood Centennial Park Improvement Plan was adopted, the plan included a Skate-BMX park for youth. We are now seeking funding to help build the Skate-BMX Park.
There is a large community of skateboarders who have no place to practice their sport in Harewood. While there are other skate parks in Nanaimo, they are inaccessible for local youth.
We are partners with the City of Nanaimo, Parks Recreation and Environment and Nanaimo Skateboard Association.
The design was developed by NewLine Skate Parks, Inc. with input from local skaters. It is a plaza style park with a 6-8 foot kidney shaped bowl.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could Celebrate Canada's 150th Birthday by Opening the Youth Skate BMX in Harewood.
