Our Charity

The Rotary Club of Collingwood are a local service club comprised of volunteers working toward the betterment of our community and the world. We achieve this through a number of initiatives such as our youth exchange program. This program provides high school students from around the world the opportunity to spend a year in Canada, experiencing our culture. Similarly, we send local students to other Rotary clubs in other countries. Through our fundraising, we have supported capital and equipment purchases at the Collingwood General and Marine hospital; Community Living, a local social service agency; the Animal Shelter; and provided shelter boxes for people in Haiti following the earthquake. Sometimes we provide ‘sweat equity’ through hands on involvement such as delivering Meals on Wheels to seniors, building bicycle paths and the pavilion at Harbour Lands.
